We went to our first community gathering put on by the Hamlet. It was in the school gym and it was full. We had the turkey. All the caribou was gone by the time we got to the tables. Darn. We sat close to Adam who was the first carver we met in Cape Dorset. We got our Christmas tree from him. :). There is a picture of Adam below. He has a nice family. It is amazing how nice the people are here. There was always someone who would volunteer to translate for us. I can recognize some of the words on paper but I don't know who to pronounce them yet. Speaking of the tree here is a picture with the gifts under or should I say around it. Merry Christmas to everyone.
