I made it out last night to snap a couple of photos of the northern lights. I didn't get out soon enough and only got a few shots of the disappearing lights. We still have clear skies today so hopefully the lights will be back tonight and I will get better photos. According to Space Weather there should still be some tonight.

When looking if the northern lights are going to be good I use this website.

I also use this

Hope that helps!

I'm here in Gjoa and I haven't seen any yet. Apparently it is a pretty bad place to see them and my roommates only saw good ones twice last year. But I think the main reason is that it is cloudy 95% of the time!
Actually Christa it's been the same here the last couple of years. A lot of overcast days. Could be that way because all but one community is located on the coast.
Clear night tonight but I was just out and no lights. I haven't seen them in over a month. I guess from your pictures I've been missing them.
Amazing!
I was randomly googling cape dorset the other day and your blog popped up. I can't stop creeping on the photos ever since...
These really make me miss my days in Churchill...although not enough to give up the warm weather and unlimited water im currently enjoying in the US...
You can come by the site and creep all you want Alex.
