What a fine team they make.

Is that a big flock of birds on the left horizon?

Yes it is. They are Ravens.

When you see them in a group like that it means there is food in the area.

Ravens are only around in the winter. Once summer comes the seagulls chase them out of town.

Ranvens are the only year round bird in Nunavut. The rest are all migratory.

I made a mistake on my last comment. The ravens are not the only bird that spends all winter in Nunavut. I should have said they are the only bird you see around the Hamlet during the winter.

The ptarmigan, raven and snowy owl are all year round birds.
